Bleeding Hemorrhoids
Blood on toilet paper! Shocked! Aren’t you? This situation is very obvious for
people who notice blood coming from the anus for the first time. Bleeding
hemorrhoids can be very scary.
Remember! Bleeding in the anus can sometimes be the indications of much more serious conditions than just hemorrhoids. Hence, it is imperative that you
carefully examine your symptoms before making a conclusion.
But can you self-diagnose Hemorrhoids?
Yes! You certainly can. The best way to self-diagnose the problem is by
examining the colour of blood from the anus. Check your toilet paper and stools
inside the toilet pot. If the blood is bright red then there is a possibility
that you have hemorrhoid. You have got external hemorrhoids if you find blood on toilet paper. Unfortunately, blood red stools inside the toilet pot indicate
internal hemorrhoids. I am stating this as unfortunate because internal
hemorrhoids are relatively more serious than external hemorrhoids.
Your lifestyle is the main cause of bleeding hemorrhoids!
You might feel dejected, but it’s true. Here are some of the common reasons……..
- Serious constipation
- Severe straining of the bowel
- Sitting and standing for long time
- Too much consumption of coffee and alcohol
- Obesity
- Pregnancy
Do you know why hemorrhoids bleed? Have a look………
Contrary to your opinion, let me tell you that, it is normal for hemorrhoids
to bleed. Hemorrhoids are caused due to swelling of veins in the rectal and
anal area. A sack of blood is formed in the anal region. Once the sack is
broken (often during bowel movements), blood starts to pour out of hemorrhoid.
You can experience bleeding hemorrhoids with both internal and external
hemorrhoids.
Quick identification and treatment is always the best way to cure hemorrhoids.
See a doctor immediately if the bleeding continues for a week. Some of the
common treatments for bleeding hemorrhoids include:
Rubber Ligation - The rubber band is placed at the base of the internal
hemorrhoid in order to block the blood supply. This results in the shrinkage
of hemorrhoids in about four to seven days.
Sclerotherapy - A solution is inserted into the mucous membrane near the
hemorrhoid resulting in swelling of veins, thereby decreasing hemorrhoid.
Hemorrhoidectomy – This is a surgical process to remove hemorrhoids.
GUYS…………..do not leave Bleeding Hemorrhoids untreated.
While bleeding hemorrhoids can disturb your mental status, they are generally
not very dangerous. But, hemorrhoids can become more severe, agonizing and
even infected if not treated on time.
