Itching, Inflammation and Bleeding in the rectal area ………. Embarrassing! Isn’t it? Are you experiencing anything like this? Well these are the common hemorrhoid symptoms. Hemorrhoid or piles is a condition when the vein around the anus or lower rectum is swollen or inflamed.

There are two kinds of hemorrhoids-internal and external. You normally tend to get confused between internal and external hemorrhoids, although they differ a bit in terms of their symptoms. The itching and pain inside the rectum indicates internal hemorrhoid; whereas pain and itching outside rectum and around the anus is called as external hemorrhoid. Most of the people get confused over the symptoms and they incorrectly refer it as hemorrhoids. This is the reason why detection becomes difficult. Hence, it is necessary to clearly analyse whether the symptoms are that of hemorrhoids or some other disease.

In fact, some minor hemorrhoid symptoms are:
Painless bleeding (internal hemorrhoids)
Painful bleeding or swelling (external hemorrhoids)
Discomfort
Hard lump near the anus (external hemorrhoids)

These mild symptoms indicate initial stages of hemorrhoids which needs an immediate treatment. Other hemorrhoid symptoms include dark claylike stools, repeated illness with other digestive disorders, chronic constipation and diarrhea.

Don’t be careless at these hemorrhoid symptoms. See a doctor before it becomes too late! Take action………….or situation may worsen causing severe pain and inflammation. Untreated haemorrhoids can even cause serious complications such as: colon cancer and rectal cancer, where surgery is the only treatment option.
